Bringing your new baby into this world is a joyous event. Yet, the enormous responsibilities of motherhood, surprisingly, aren’t always as straightforward. At GraciousCare Inc. our Maternal Newborn Specialists (MNSs) are here to help mothers make this important life transition a little easier.
Some of the areas in which Maternal Newborn Specialists provide guidance are:
-
Lactation consultation for breast-feeding mothers
-
Routine establishment (eating/sleeping/waking)
-
Bottle preparation, feeding and bathing
-
Laundering of baby clothing and linens
-
Restocking of baby care products
Maternal Newborn Specialists are trained infant consultants who will come to your home for several hours a week to provide care for your baby, enabling you to gain back your strength from delivery. All MNSs are highly skilled, carefully screened, bonded and insured, and are Registered Nurses or Licensed Practical Nurses. During the hectic early months of motherhood, it is comforting to know that our MNSs, with their extensive medical backgrounds, are available to provide help and answer questions, so parents can freely focus on bonding with their infants.
MNSs from GraciousCare Inc. provide direct hands-on support to parents with newborns. They can also act as healthcare liaisons between a family’s OBGYN and Pediatrician, plus MNSs have the added bonus of being certified in Basic Life Support for infants (CPR).
When a newborn baby enters into the loving arms of its mother, it is easy for a mom to shower their new child with love, care and attention, sometimes at the expense of her own needs. MNSs can help moms screen themselves for Post Partum Depression, providing a safe space to discuss their feelings openly, and giving referrals to clinicians or support groups.
At GraciousCare Inc. our MNSs ensure that mothers get the rest and support they need the first few weeks after delivery. Relieving some of the pressure ensures that moms can ease into new responsibilities gradually and truly enjoy this precious time. Call GraciousCare Inc. today to learn how you can retain the services of a Maternal Newborn Specialist.
